  • Back to School!

Today is May 14 and my eldest daughter is going to day 1 in primary school.
This means new uniform, new books, new enviroment and perhaps, new friends.

Being a parent,i guess i would have to spent a lifetime worrying about my kids.
That goes for many other parents too, i guess.
I worry about my daughter being able to cope up with all the new things in a new enviroment. Will she be able to catch up with new studies? Will she have new friends? Will her friends be good or naughty? Will she be bullied? The worry list goes on and on.......

I once bought a cute photo frame because of a quote printed on it. It says "There are but two things that we should give our children; One is roots and the other is wings"
I guess it will take time for any parent to take up and follow the quote saying.

Whenever I feel down and out, I always turn towards my two daughters for encouragement. They never failed to cheer me up although they could be a real pain in the butt.

Well, enough said. I guess I have to go back to school again!

  • Temper! Temper!

I woke up early today, at around 715am on a Sunday.
I had to bring my mum to the eye doctor so that the correct measurements can be used to make her a pair of new spectacles. The reason was she just had a cataract operation and the old spectacles wasn't that useful as before.
During the waiting period, I managed to read today's paper.
I came across an article on Alec Baldwin speaking rudely to his kids on the mobile
phone and the paparazi was trying to take advantage of the remarks Alec made into big news knowing well that Alec is having custody proplem with Kim Bassinger. And being human, I guess I knew what a lot of pressure can do to you but I never thought I would do it to my kids.
Anyway, after spending three hours at the eye specialist, I came home.
I asked my mum to return to the house as I had to park my car in the parking lot.
After which I went for a haircut.
I came back home to lots of noise from the kids playing, my mum's nagging away about the nanny's attitude towards my younger daughter, my wife's nagging about the company's account status, tv blaring away etc.
I was trying to concentrate for some peace of mind when Kitty (my eldest daughter) approaced me to on the computer for her so that she can play the computer game. I got it on and return to my wife's discussion.

Then my youngest daughter, Li Lee came up to me and was calling away trying to tell me about her clothes dressing. Kitty called out to me asking to help her with the computer game. My mum was then nagging something else.

At this point, I guess I lost it. I shouted out at both my daughters to keep quiet and ask my mum to get away from the dining hall. My wife kept quiet knowing my temper.

After the whole ordeal, I fell guilty inside, just as I am sure that's what Alec was feeling at that moment. I guess being able to write this blog, it makes me feel
slightly better but the guilty feeling stays.

  • A pool incident

On 7th.April 2007 at around 4pm local time, i witness a drowning incident.
A Korean lady, which I later heard who was pregnant drowned in the swimming pool in the condominium where I am residing.
I could see from my room that a man (who might be the victim's husband) trying desparately to give artificial ressucitation to the victim. He tried and tried for at least 20 minutes before giving up. There was lots of people standing as witnesses and there were even some who were still in the pool swimming! How ironic?
I heard that there were supposed to be two life guard on duty. Where were they?
I found that the management didn't even bothered to cordoned off the swimming pool after the incident and even after the body of the victim was carried away.
Half and hour later, the local Police came took some shots of the scene. (with some people still swimming in it!) There were even more people coming to use the pool.

This incident made me wonder how worthless life can be nowadays and also how thoughtless  and inconsiderate the today society can be.  Pool1

  • My First Date with a Blog Creator

    KidsSawadee Khrap:
I had always read about bloggers on the internet but never ever laid my hands
trying to do one by myself.
So, I decided to take some time today and read about them using a Yahoo search engine. That's how I ended up typing my first blog.

I am born a Malaysian and had been staying with my family ie my Thai born wife and two lovely daughters aged 7 and 1 1/2 year old respectively.
Life is never a boring affair in Thailand, the land of smiles.
